Having spent most of his career in the luxury industry, Alain-Dominique Perrin decided to put his considerable talent, energy and conviction into a new project : camping.
In 2008 he bought the Camping les Moulins in La Guérinière on the island of Noirmoutier, where he has spent his holidays since he was a child. He has developed a unique concept, combining environmental preservation, the promotion of local heritage and a high standard of service. Tipis, canvas and wood ecolodges and traditional pitches, a spa, a hammam are all nestled in the dunes on the coast amongst 2500 newly planted trees. Camping les Moulins, a haven of well-being, now has four stars.
A few kilometres from the Camping les Moulins, in the coastal village of Barbatre, the unstoppable entrepreneur has also acquired the Camping du Midi. Thirteen hectares developed around a sporting and sailing theme. In the near future he aims to create the Original Camping label, thus linking 5 campsites under the same banner.
The luxury industry
In 1990 he founded the first luxury marketing school (Institut Supérieur de Marketing de Luxe) in Paris, with the aim of delivering specialist education in France in a booming sector.
